Weighted warp loom

I started a weighted warp loom project. There actually is nothing to the loom except a strong stick. Small bags of salt are tied onto the warp threads to weigh them down. I am using a number of practice handspun yarns for the warp and commercial lace weight yarns for the weft. I will post more when the project is complete.

  1. Hi Van,

Interesting idea you have to use a lightweight weft to allow the warp threads to show through. I haven’t thought of trying that!

    1. It seems to be making a very stretchy, squooshy fabric. I’ll report more when the scarf is finished.
